GAMA-1 Congratulates Leigh Ryan on her Promotion to Director of Operations

Greenbelt, MD – July 2022

Join Dan Beall, VP of Operations, in congratulating Leigh Ryan on her promotion from Program Manager to GAMA-1’s Director of Operations. As a Director of Operations, Leigh is directly responsible for managing several of GAMA-1’s Programs, Projects, and Contracts, specifically leading NESDIS GRAVITE, NESDIS IT Support Services (NIIS), NWS Security Compliance & FISMA, and OAR’s IT Support Services.   Her role includes managing employee performance and customer satisfaction, contract requirements deliverables, and reporting to the federal contract officers and contract representatives. When asked about her promotion, she stated, “I am so thankful and excited to continue advancing my career with GAMA-1! I’ve learned so much about leadership, collaboration, communication, and customer service from Alesa Shelton, COO, Dan Beall, VP of Operations, and Gerald Stark, VP of Business Development. I hope to use those skills to better support our customers’ missions!”

Celebrating six years with GAMA-1, Leigh applies her 12 years of experience providing tactical and strategic NOAA IT managed solutions combined with her industry certifications: PMP, ITIL, and CAP. As the NOAA SDD ITSS Program Manager, she managed a team of roughly 50 employees, which served 5,000 users across CorpSrv in 11 locations around the United States. Dan Beall was happy to add, “GAMA-1 is very excited to welcome Leigh to her new role and responsibilities within the company. After working with her for almost a year, I know she is up for the challenges ahead! Leigh’s program management skills shined during many of her program management positions. To include responding to the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic and addressing customer and employee remote needs. Under her leadership, she maintained and accomplished multiple projects while maintaining operational SLOs and SLAs.” During her GAMA-1 career, she also managed several NWS operations contracts and tasks.
