GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC Awarded DOC NOAA NESDIS STAR Algorithm Scientific Software Integration and System Transition Team (ASSISTT) – Technology, Testing, and Transition Team (T4)

Contract: NOAALink SB Task Order

GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC has been awarded the National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR) Algorithm Scientific Software Integration and System Transition Team (ASSISTT) Technology, Testing and Transition Team (T4) NOAALink SB IDIQ Task Order. GAMA-1 teamed with IMSG to connect the otherwise separate STAR science formulation and development endeavors to transition the science software into operational scientific applications. The main goal of the GAMA-1 ASSISTT Technology, Testing, and Transition Team is to provide services achieving a cost-effective implementation of algorithm testing and delivering capabilities that are cross-cutting throughout STAR divisions and NESDIS using the appropriate life cycle processes.

STAR
About the Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR). The Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR) is the science arm of the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), which acquires and manages the nation’s environmental satellites for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). STAR activities, integral to the implementation of NOAA’s priorities, are aligned with and carried out in direct support of NOAA and NESDIS programs, strategic goals, and performance objectives. STAR’s mission is to accelerate the transfer of satellite observations of the land, atmosphere, ocean, and climate from scientific research and development into routine operations, and offer state-of-the-art data, products, and services to decision-makers.

About National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS)
The NESDIS mission is to provide secure and timely access to global environmental data and information from satellites and other sources to promote and protect the Nation’s security, environment, economy, and quality of life. As a long-standing NESDIS partner, GAMA-1 works with NESDIS to provide data ingest, archive, and stewardship and redistribution of critical weather, climate, and ocean and weather model data.
