Contract Number: BG133E18NC0148

GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC has been awarded the National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) IT Services contract. GAMA-1 works with the JPSS Program Office ensuring all Information Technology (IT) requirements, including IT Security, are met for the JPSS Ground Segment Project and Government Resource for Algorithm Verification, Independent Test, and Evaluation (GRAVITE) /Field Terminal Support (FTS) systems.

About Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS)
JPSS the Nation’s next generation polar-orbiting operational environmental satellite system is being developed under the JPSS Program Office. The JPSS satellites provide continuity of critical observations for accurate weather forecasting, reliable severe storm outlooks, and global measurements of atmospheric and oceanic conditions such as sea surface temperatures, ozone, and more. The JPSS Program Office, part of the NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), implements the NESDIS Deputy Assistant Administrator for Science’s Level 1 oversight responsibilities, maintains insight into implementation of the NASA JPSS Program, and manages NOAA-implemented elements of JPSS. This includes defining requirements, integrating user systems, integrating partner contributions, integrating NASA-developed products into the NOAA architecture, developing the science necessary to deliver measurement products, storing, delivering and archiving the satellite data, operating the space and ground segments, and representing the system to all entities internal and external to the Government including international partners.

About National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS)
The NESDIS mission is to provide secure and timely access to global environmental data and information from satellites and other sources to promote and protect the Nation’s security, environment, economy, and quality of life. As a long-standing NESDIS partner, GAMA-1 works with NESDIS to provide data ingest, archive, and stewardship and redistribution of critical weather, climate, and ocean and weather model data.
