Weather & Water Operations

GAMA-1 operates and sustains the systems that move weather and water intelligence from data and forecast production to visualization, warning, collaboration, and public dissemination. Our teams support AWIPS/HIVE-associated environments, HydroVIS, Office of Water Prediction capabilities, cloud platforms, and 24×7 dissemination services with disciplined operations, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement.
Keeping weather, water, and dissemination missions operational—around the clock.

Built for environments where delays in data, forecasts, warnings, water intelligence, or public dissemination can directly affect life, property, infrastructure, emergency response, and economic activity.

Overview

Weather and water missions do not pause—and their operational systems cannot either.

Weather and water operations depend on a complex, interconnected mission chain. Observations, radar, satellite data, numerical models, hydrologic information, geospatial services, forecast applications, collaboration platforms, warning systems, APIs, and public-facing dissemination channels must remain synchronized and available. An interruption at any point can delay the information used by forecasters, emergency managers, water-resource professionals, transportation officials, first responders, partners, and the public.

GAMA-1 provides the operational engineering, cloud expertise, environmental mission knowledge, service management, cybersecurity, and incident-response discipline required to keep this mission chain moving. We support daily operations and maintenance, system monitoring, data-flow validation, release and change coordination, user support, troubleshooting, recovery, continuity planning, and continuous improvement across distributed weather and water environments.

Our public NOAA experience demonstrates this operational model. GAMA-1 has provided 24×7 operations, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, recovery, cloud infrastructure, and FISMA security support for six National Weather Service mission applications, including HydroVIS, Cloud GIS, NWS Chat, the Damage Assessment Toolkit, the National GIS Map Viewer, and GISC Washington. GAMA-1 also supports systems and cloud engineering and development, integration, and testing environments for next-generation Office of Water Prediction capabilities.

NOAA and the National Weather Service are strong proof points, but the operating model applies to any federal organization responsible for weather readiness, flood intelligence, water resources, emergency management, transportation, aviation, agriculture, public safety, defense support, infrastructure protection, or climate resilience.

Our standard
Mission continuity before convenience
24×7 monitoring, escalation, and accountable response
Reliable data movement from source through dissemination
Security and compliance integrated into daily operations
Controlled changes, releases, and system configurations
Transparent service performance and continuous improvement

How we work

A continuity-first operating model for time-sensitive environmental missions.

Step 01
Map the Mission Flow & Operational Risk

We assess applications, data sources, user groups, interfaces, operational schedules, processing timelines, dissemination paths, infrastructure dependencies, service levels, security controls, known failure points, and continuity requirements.

Step 02
Transition & Establish Readiness

Our teams execute structured knowledge transfer, system and service inventory validation, runbook development, monitoring integration, access provisioning, escalation planning, configuration baselining, staffing, and operational-readiness reviews.

Step 03
Operate, Monitor, and Respond

We provide daily operations, maintenance, monitoring, service management, troubleshooting, incident response, cybersecurity, user support, recovery, and stakeholder communication across weather and water mission environments.

Step 04
Analyze, Improve, and Modernize

We use incident trends, service metrics, user feedback, system performance, recurring-problem analysis, cloud-cost data, and operational lessons learned to improve reliability, automate manual work, strengthen resilience, and guide modernization.

Complex missions require coordinated execution.
