GAMA-1 Technologies Achieves Select Consulting Partner Status in the Amazon Web Services Partner Network

GAMA-1 Technologies, Linking Business and Technology, has achieved Select Consulting Partner status in the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Partner Network (APN) and announces its AWS Service Delivery designation, recognizing that GAMA-1 follows best practices and has proven success delivering AWS services to end customers.

Achieving the AWS Service Delivery designation differentiates GAMA-1 as an APN member that provides specialized demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in delivering Select Tier services. To receive the designation, APN Partners must possess deep AWS experience and deliver solutions seamlessly on AWS.

“GAMA-1 is proud to achieve APN Select Consulting Partner status with Service Delivery designation as proof of our exceptional customer satisfaction reviews, particularly from NOAA’s NESDIS Chief Information Officer, Irene Parker, which highlight our dedication to being a trusted APN Partner that continues to support NOAA achieve their technology goals by leveraging the agility, breadth of services, and pace of innovation that AWS provides.”

~ Gustavo Gamarra, Chief Executive Officer.

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Service Delivery Program to help customers identify APN Consulting Partners with deep experience delivering specific AWS services.

GAMA-1, working in collaboration with NESDIS ACIO-S and AWS, has successfully developed and tested a pilot for securely ingesting satellite data from six external data providers (Sentinel-3A, METEOSAT-8, MODIS-Aqua, MODIS-Terra, NASA CYGNSS, and KOPMSAT-5) as part of the Secure Ingest Gateway Pilot (SIGP). The SIGP is a NESDIS implementation to ingest external data, perform data quality checking, data integrity auditing, and making data available to internal users for 15 days via internal distribution systems (e.g., STAR and ESPDS). GAMA-1 has developed a cloud-based solution on AWS that successfully demonstrates and possesses current capabilities to ingest, process, and distribute data from external data providers. GAMA-1 has also developed a cost model/breakdown to provide secure data product as a service, including providing real-time cost breakdowns. We have implemented a high-level tagging strategy to tag/bill for individual data providers, which cover creating a billing for the environment, name, POC, and project. By leveraging high band-width capabilities of N-Wave network and AWS Direct Connect, data transfer latency is minimized. Through the cloud-based SIGP architecture, we scale up and scale down compute capacity using a job scheduler to mitigate latency during data processing.

“Achieving APN Select Consulting Partner status allows GAMA-1 to stand ready to continue assisting NOAA and other Federal Agencies in its endeavors to move data and mission-critical applications to the cloud.”
