GAMA-1 Technologies is proud to support the launch of NOAA’s new Wildland Fire Data Portal, a cloud-enabled platform expanding public access to critical satellite-derived wildfire information. This innovative capability enhances situational awareness for emergency managers, researchers, and communities by delivering timely, authoritative fire detection and monitoring data—when it matters most.

Developed in close collaboration with NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), GAMA-1 Technologies, and industry partner TechTraverse LLC, the Wildland Fire Data Portal is powered by the NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF)—NOAA’s enterprise cloud platform for secure, scalable, and mission-ready data delivery.

Mission-Ready Cloud Innovation, Powered by NCCF

At the core of this solution is NCCF, which enables NOAA to modernize how satellite data is processed, managed, and shared with the public. Leveraging NCCF’s cloud-native architecture, the Wildland Fire Data Portal delivers:

  • Scalable access to large volumes of satellite fire data
  • High availability and performance to support surge demand during wildfire events
  • Secure, compliant infrastructure aligned with NOAA enterprise standards
  • Rapid innovation and deployment, accelerating time from data to decision

GAMA-1’s cloud engineering and data management expertise helped ensure the portal was built to meet NOAA’s operational requirements while remaining flexible for future enhancements—without compromising reliability, security, or performance.

A Trusted Partnership with NESDIS

“GAMA-1 is honored to partner with NESDIS in delivering capabilities that directly support NOAA’s mission and the public good,” said Gus Gamarra, President of GAMA-1 Technologies. “The NESDIS Common Cloud Framework is a critical enabler for modern, resilient data services. By powering applications like this Wildland Fire Data Portal with NCCF, NOAA is accelerating innovation while ensuring its satellite data is accessible, secure, and operationally dependable at scale.”

Expanding Public Access to Critical Wildfire Intelligence

As wildfires continue to pose increasing risks to lives, infrastructure, and ecosystems, NOAA’s Wildland Fires Data Portal represents a significant step forward in open data access and environmental intelligence. By making satellite-based fire information more readily available, NOAA strengthens the nation’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from wildfire events.

GAMA-1 is proud to support this effort and remains committed to helping NOAA modernize its cloud and data ecosystems—delivering mission-ready solutions powered by NCCF.
