GAMA-1 Technologies Welcomes Mark Mohs as Program Manager and Digital Transformation Leader

Greenbelt, MD – February 2026

GAMA-1 Technologies is proud to welcome Mark Mohs to our growing leadership team as Program Manager supporting National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Service Desk and Business IT Support Services (SBITS) contract for the NOAA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), while also spearheading innovation initiatives within our Digital Transformation Center of Excellence.

Mark joins GAMA-1 following a distinguished federal career, retiring from the NOAA’s National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS), where he dedicated more than two decades of service advancing mission-critical science, data systems, and operational excellence. His depth of experience within NOAA’s enterprise ecosystem brings invaluable institutional knowledge and strategic perspective to our customers and our teams.

Strengthening SBITS Support for NOAA OCIO

In his role managing GAMA-1’s NOAA SBITS contract, Mark is responsible for ensuring seamless, high-quality delivery of enterprise IT services that enable NOAA’s mission—from secure cloud adoption and IT modernization to governance, performance optimization, and customer-focused service management.

His firsthand understanding of NOAA’s operational environment—combined with his leadership experience inside NCCOS—positions him to bridge mission needs with modern technology execution. Mark’s approach emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and measurable results—principles that align directly with GAMA-1’s reputation for being Reputable, Reliable, and Results-Focused.

Advancing Innovation Through the Digital Transformation Center of Excellence

Beyond program execution, Mark is leading strategic innovation efforts within GAMA-1’s Digital Transformation Center of Excellence. In this capacity, he is helping shape next-generation approaches to cloud modernization, enterprise automation, data governance, and AI-enabled decision support across NOAA programs.

His leadership strengthens our ability to deliver scalable, secure, and mission-ready solutions that support NOAA’s evolving enterprise priorities—particularly as agencies modernize legacy systems and pursue cost-efficient, performance-driven digital transformation initiatives.

A Strategic Hire for the Future

Leigh Ryan, Director of Operations at GAMA-1 Technologies, shared her enthusiasm about the addition of Mark to the team:

“Mark brings unmatched insight into NOAA’s mission and operational environment. His decades of experience within NCCOS, combined with his leadership mindset and commitment to innovation, make him an extraordinary asset to GAMA-1 and to our customers. He understands the mission from the inside out, and that perspective is invaluable as we continue to expand our digital transformation capabilities across NOAA.”

Mission Experience Meets Modern Innovation

Mark’s career reflects a consistent focus on strengthening operational performance through technology, collaboration, and forward-thinking strategy. His transition from federal leadership to GAMA-1 reinforces our commitment to hiring seasoned experts who understand the complexities of government environments while driving meaningful innovation.

As GAMA-1 continues to grow and expand its support to NOAA and other federal agencies, Mark’s leadership will play a pivotal role in ensuring our programs remain mission-aligned, technologically advanced, and operationally resilient.

We are honored to welcome Mark Mohs to the GAMA-1 family and look forward to the impact he will make, across SBITS, across our Digital Transformation Center of Excellence, and across the broader NOAA enterprise.
