At the core of this innovation is the AO System, a collaborative venture between NESDIS and the Algorithm Support for Science, Integration, and Technical Transition Team (ASSISTT). The system is designed to empower scientists with the ability to efficiently schedule and execute complex scientific applications, thus facilitating the generation of accurate scientific products.

One of the standout features of the AO System is its ability to enable scientists to test and validate algorithms through near real-time and batch processing, significantly enhancing research-to-operations (R2O) capabilities. This allows for the comparison of different application versions, aiding in the determination of desired improvements.

Moreover, the AO System is a catalyst for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), promoting on-demand deployment of applications following extensive testing. This feature ensures that applications remain in a deployable state, meeting stringent performance and integration standards, and upholding operational readiness.
