Greenbelt, MD – July 2025
GAMA-1 Technologies is proud to announce that Josh Brady, a key graphic design specialist supporting NASA’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Programs Division, has been awarded the 2025 NASA Flights Project Directorate (FPD) Peer Award. This highly selective honor was presented during the recent FPD Town Hall, where only nine individuals across NASA were recognized for their outstanding contributions.
Josh received the award for “exceptional graphic design for presentations, outreach materials, and educational resources and outstanding collaboration and teamwork across LEO.”
In a field where clarity, precision, and communication are paramount—especially when explaining complex space science to senior leaders, stakeholders, and the public—Josh has continuously raised the bar. His work transforms intricate technical data into compelling, visually engaging narratives that enhance understanding and decision-making across NASA’s flight projects.
“Josh’s creative expertise, paired with his collaborative spirit, makes him an invaluable asset to the NASA FPD community,” said GAMA-1 Senior Director of Operations, Leigh Ryan. “This award highlights the critical role design plays in mission success—from internal briefings to public outreach. We’re proud to support NASA’s innovation through talent like Josh.
Josh’s recent achievements include:
- Creating cutting-edge graphics to explain advanced concepts such as black body intercalibration and hyperspectral microwave sounders to non-technical audiences.
- Designing a mission-critical comparison of LEO vs. GEO satellite programs.
- Leading LEO’s comprehensive rebranding, developing logos, wordmarks, and marketing collateral adaptable to diverse formats—from embroidered apparel to scientific posters.
- Streamlining the production of the “LEO Science Digest” journal and launching new outreach pieces like trifold brochures and print-on-demand briefing books.
- Supporting STEM education efforts and public science communication, helping inspire future generations of Earth and space scientists.
His award nomination described him as the “heart and soul of the LEO communications team”—a testament not only to his technical and creative excellence, but also to his character, generosity, and positive influence within the NASA community.
GAMA-1 Technologies congratulates Josh on this well-deserved honor and reaffirms our commitment to empowering innovation at the intersection of science, technology, and design.
